The weather. WTF
It seems things haven't improved from April.
Just checking my Ascent file for 2009. Just 1000km of training this spring !!!! While I'm sure work, call, and travel is partly to blame... Mainly the weather has been playing havoc with my opportunity to ride the new SuperCycle.
I'm 588km behind last year in kms for the end of June.
Checking the long-term forecast doesn't help. Maybe should have had fenders put on the SuperCycle.
Hopefully, the sun will come out the week of HLT2009.

Sunday May 31 -- HLT Peggys Cove
Many of the HLT core riders (past and present) got together on this beautiful Sunday morning to ride to Peggys Cove and back... Unfortunately, the Cyclesmith Duo was going on the same day, so some were unable to attend. This was the first group ride this year and also an opportunity for Carman to help raise funds for his Relay for Life Cancer Society "Dream Team".

The closest I came to Lance and Basso
I was traveling through the Cinque Terre last week ostensibly for a walking/hiking vacation, but truth be told I was really there to see Stage 12 of the Giro d'Italia. It was a 62km long, technically difficult ride along the beautiful Ligurian coast. Unfortunately, my G10 battery was dying by the time the top ranked riders passed me on the second of the two climbs (Passo del Termine). Plus, the tifosi and one crazy American often jumped in front of me and my camera. So, I was lucky to at least get these two pictures.

Spring finally returns ... on and off
Only about 400km of spring riding, as the weather rollercoaster continues.
As you can see, I'm still waiting for the Canadian Tire Italian SuperCycle, while riding the old Trek.
